PAVO Officials Training Program (OTP) Clinics are partially funded by a grant from the NCAA, and are primarily intended to prepare officials for the upcoming women's collegiate season. All volleyball officials are invited to attend. The agenda items include the new NCAA rules, new techniques and protocols, professionalism, and other areas of emphasis. At the host’s discretion, the new USA Volleyball rules may also be covered.
Most conferences and assignors highly recommend clinic attendance as a preparatory step for officiating in the upcoming season. The NCAA considers clinic attendance as criterion for post-season officiating selections.
NOTE: The online clinic registration process that was initiated in 2006 will be continued in 2008. Instead of on-site registration, as in the past, attendees will now PRE-register and prepay the clinic registration fees online prior to the clinic date. This change will help streamline check-in at the clinic site, and will assist hosts in planning facilities and materials.
For those who pre-register online, the PAVO portion of the clinic fees will not change from previous years (see table below). As always, local clinic hosts may charge an additional amount for local expenses (copies, facility, etc.). This year, the amount due to PAVO and the local clinic fee will be collected when you pre-register online with a credit card. For those who do not pre-register, there will be a $10 surcharge to the clinic fees, which will be collected at the door by the host.
If you do not have a credit card, or do not have web access, please call the PAVO central office (888/791-2074) to pre-register for the clinic of your choice.

*To register as a current PAVO member, your 2008 PAVO dues must have been received in the PAVO central office, or you will be charged non-member registration fees.
PAVO will accommodate boards and conferences that pay the clinic registration fees for the individuals on their roster. If your board chair or conference coordinator has informed PAVO that s/he is responsible for your clinic registration fee, you will see a prepaid "voucher" in the system which will reflect that responsibility. Even if a third-party is paying your registration fee, you must pre-register online to avoid the $10 surcharge!!
